Thank you for this posting! Our little toy poodle was behaving frantically this afternoon, licking and licking and she was very stresed. She was breathing fine but this scurrying behaviour and licking and licking was strange. I found a burr on her with some missing. I used plain cheese and she was gobbling this up. It improved somewhat yet she was continued to lick. I found this tip. She would not eat the bread but took the cheese I soaked in olive oil. She is very fussy. Getting the olive oil in with the cheese helped and she is now settled down. How bizzar! Thank You!

I can’t believe that some misguided trainers still use barbaric, cruel and outdated training methods. But sadly, it still happens. We all need to do what ever we can to call these people out and get them away from our family pets!

Hey I am finally working on it. Different trick (crossed paws) but same approach. Targets used to get the behavior but I want the targets gone fast. I go to shaping.

She covers these concepts and I’m looking forward to learning a lot more from her. Good luck at your rally trial!
